Hello all! I'm Jake, and I'm totally new to this forum. I used to belong to a forum years ago, but haven't brewed anything in a long while (year and a half or so). I am a rookie, and have only brewed a few 5 gallon batches with mostly extracts and a few specialty grains, but that's it. Being in Central Florida, I moved into a studio apartment and have had some major issues keeping fermentation temps reasonable (77 in my apartment right now). Comfy for me, but not the yeast! I'm building a fermentation chiller (finally) and wanted to get back on board with some homebrewing! Thanks for having me = )

Currently drinking a Terrapin Hopsecutioner in celebration of southern brewing, which I hope to be doing very soon! hahaaa

Hey, welcome to the forum from a fellow Orlandian. :mug:

Hope you're familiar with Heart's Homebrew. They're a great store in our area with just about any kind of hops or grain or yeast you could imagine.

In any case, if you have any general brewing questions, ask the forum. Any local questions, feel free to ask me via PM or e-mail or whatever. I'm in a culinary school brew club as well, so I have a few resources at my disposal.

Good luck and happy brewing. Hope everything turns out delicious, bubbly, and delicious. (That part's important)

Hey man!
