a west coast pilsner that is.

planning my next westie.

for 6 gallons
10 lbs of golden promise.
.5 lbs vienna
.25 carapils
.25 acid malt

1 ounce centennial at 60
1 ounce citra at 10
1 ounces cascade and 1 ounce citra at flame out

then dry hop with 2 ounce of citra ( i like citra)

i think the cascade might get lost in here. do you think its better at 10 then flameout.? or will it make a difference?

I’d drink that as written. Sounds delicious to me.

Classic combo. Centennial, Cascade, and Citra have such wonderful synergy (as do all the American "C hops" for that matter). I definitely agree that Cascade isn't as powerful of a flavor as Centennial or Citra (which is one of the most powerful hops I know). It does add something extra, but you're not going to get that distinct Cascade flavor when it's paired with Citra right there. Centennial tends to be more assertive than Cascade, but they go well together.

Anyway, looks very delicious.
