No posts here in a week, time to liven things up!

I picked up a cheap wine cooler on CL yesterday with the intent of consolidating all of my beer and at least some wine into it. Well, the cellar was a little smaller than i thought, and once i started putting it all in one place, I realized that I had more to go in the cellar than I thought. All of the beer ALMOST fit, but now I still need a place for wine!

Anyway, pics of loading the thing up...

So... time for true confessions of a beer hoarder...

Honestly, this is embarrassing.

There is a Vanilla Bean Barrel Aged Dark Lord in there that I completely forgot that I had. It's possibly the single bottle in there with the highest trade value, and I really didn't think I had one until I moved everything into the cooler. I knew that i had a few barrel aged varieties, but I didn't think I had vanilla bean.

Is it bourbon or brandy?

Yay bottle bombs and water dissolvable labels.

1 of 4 ESBs on the top shelf, taking out a the others and the stout next to blast site with the giant hole threw the bottle. Then shards of beer and glass rained down and broke several empties on the ground level, destroying all my beer labels on the way and covering everything in a sticky glass shard film.

To the NSA agent who reads this; my post was in regards to beer exploding in a bottle caused by natural overcarbonation, this is not in any way condoning bomb making in the basement.
Thanks you, JQ Public

Haha, I sent a PM to Hawgwild similar to this immediately after the one where I was begging for more Bomb!s

I hope you got everything cleaned up alright. Do you at least sort of know what bottles are what?

Yea its all good mostly, I know what the beers are and everything. Just smelled like a bar dumpster for a few days in there.

Lets bring this thread back from the dead. I decide to clean up and organize my cellar and wild/sour hb stash. I have more that i thought haha.

All boxes are filled in the bottom of the closet. In the barrel is 15gals of wild bourbon barrel quad.

Hi.. my name is Dustin and I have a beer problem...

I too think I have a problem.

This does not count all the beer in my fridges...

And this is just the commercial brews...

I dont think I could stand having all those beers in boxes. I enjoy viewing them frequently and "taking inventory". Looks like great cellars though!! :mug:

Oh there is plenty of viewing...I have a spreadsheet on the outside of each box to let me know what is in each one.

Plus it is only while we do some remodeling this summer as they are getting moved about every 2 weeks.

Except for the Utopias. That is in a very safe place.

I just moved my cellar. Two fully loaded trips in the hatchback, plus a third to pick up the carboys. ow, my back.

I just moved too, i think i got all of the beer in two trips in a small SUV. Also moved 150ish bottles of wine which got spread out over a few trips. Moving sucks.

Thought I'd share mine. It's not too impressive, but I'm working on it. Most of it's homebrew, but there's some commercial stuff hiding down there.

I love to see a cellar full of homebrew! Makes me a little jealous and inspired at the same time!

I gathered everyone up from their hiding spots due to our remodeling. I updated my cellar lists and took a family photo.

Some are recent additions.

Some went back in boxes to keep me from drinking them.

Some are also not pictured as they have a new home in the beer fridge.

One big happy family. :drunk:
