Im gonna try my first all grain in the next couple of weeks, and would like to incorporate some maple syrup and cayenne powder, how much is too much spice, and should i add it at the end of the boil or in the primary, any tips would be greatly appreciated. ive brewed several extracts(maybe 6) all have been good, but I made a mash tun out of a 10 gallon cooler and want to learn a bit more about brewing as opposed to just add and stir type brewing. I am basing my brew around a simple amber ale, seems like everyone make a maple wheat or a cayenne porter, id like to meet in the middle, i guess. Thanks for reading
