Maybe you need to buy a FelineBarrier to put between your cat and brewing area. I think MoreCats and Northern Meower carry it.

Fortunately(?), my cat likes to eat string (multiple emergency vet visits) and soft thin fabric ( several destroyed garments - all my wife's). And he's not allowed in the brewery. So far, no known affection for cables, thank goodness.

One of my cats ate a 6 foot long piece of ribbon. Thankfully it eventually came out on its own. My other cat ate a penny that did not come out. One surgery later, I had an $800 penny!
