I've finally decided that I am going to take the plunge and jump into Cask Ales at home, I am currently saving up for a Pin setup. It will be pulled from the cask by a "beer engine" basically this same style. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f35/fellow-homebrewers-meet-my-new-beer-engine-10529/
However I may stick to the gravity feed until I can get my hands on an actual Beer Engine.
With that being said, how many members have made this jump? do you have any insight? Has anyone used a Co2 aspirator or figured out a cheap alternative to keep co2 on the cask?
What do you know now, that you wish you knew prior to jumping in to Cask ales?
any info will be greatly appreciated!
Also where do you get your equipment? I like the small Pin I saw on BrewingTV but cant seem to locate it anywhere...
Thanks all!!!
