If nothing else my cluelessness got this thread alive for a second. Wish there was more tasting notes, experiences, etc in here like the HF thread. Certainly did not miss the Casey EF facebook group when I decided to leave FB.

I'll admit if I know I am traveling somewhere I will often check instagram before going but I can't say I find a lot of use in following a ton of breweries all over the country when I am never going to go get any of the things they are posting about.

On a similar note, one of my least favorite things in rock climbing right now is a lot of people have a mentality that they must post about something in order to validate that it happened. Drinking beer is very much becoming this way too. Posting a picture of an empty bottle of beer isn't going to make the experience of drinking it any different.

Where have you been?? This has been going on for years!! It always taste better when you show off what you're drinking. Making people jealous is fun. But seriously, I appreciate when people post tasting notes, etc. It's also sometimes cool to check out what friends are having and then ask them questions about them or wish them well. Social media isn't for everyone and it can get old fast but it does have some advantages.

Experience is great. Very personal, John does an excellent job of being a tour guide. Easy to try a bunch of Casey when people share bottles. Haven't had a bad beer from him. Least favorite is the Brett Loves series, but he seems to have decided to produce different beers like Funky Blender. They poured a bottle of the new jammy yesterday for the tour and it's probably the best blackberry beer Troy has done. Total jam, subtle acidity, and the funk should make it even better after some aging.

About 10 years ago I had a delicious a delicious charcoal burger and going to swing by for nostalgia’s sake but also saw good reviews for a deliciously looking Indian place on yelp. Other than that, going in clueless.

The Pullman is great, and that's a little nicer place. If you're looking for insanely good food with zero "wow factor" for your wife in terms of the setting, Polanka has the best home cooked Polish food you'll ever find.

I know you live in a taco mecca but if you get an inkling for a place with a bit of a different take on them and good drinks/decent beer check out Slope & Hatch (they also have other stuff to eat too)

For breakfast: Daily Bread was pretty good

If you want to grab some beer to go, check out Cooper Wine & Spirits (they also have a great whiskey selection)

I'll second Sweet Coloradough. I never go to Casey without stopping there for breakfast or lunch.

Showed up a little before 11a, got a croissant/donut at sweet coloradough (delicious, and the friendliest people working there). Casey was awesome, only 5 of us in that session, and John was about the best front of house person in a brewery we’ve interacted with. Beer was awesome, no surprise there (highlight probably being the dry hopped oak theory, although the apricot cut was a great honeymoon gift, thanks BigToad22 ). At Slope & Hatch now, great rec DCLA as Ari loves hot dogs almost as much as tacos. Fantastic day trip!
