I am thinking revenge of the lunch lady on the carrot melomel. I found one recipe for carrot when I googled 'melomel', so there you have it.

link to decent approximation of Carrot Soup at the French Laundry resturaunt here:

http://maona.net/archives/2005/04/carrot_soup.php , I'll stop at the yogurt.

So I got five pounds of carrot at Trader Joes, 2 pounds of clover honey with that.

I think I will get a fair amount of yeast nutrient out of the roasted carrot, can I skip the acid too?

And who should I ask to judge this later? I am currently brewing in Los Angeles, about seven miles from Pacific Gravity's home shop in Culver City and about 25 miles from the Maltose Falcon's home shop in Woodland Hills.

For the Braggot it seems AHA points are proportional to OG, I have 4.5# mesquite honey to go with ~3# of light light light DME, probably 1/2 ounce aroma hops with that total. I have those in 4.0% Liberty in the freezer.

Planning on Red Star Montrachet, but I have some Red Star Cote de Rhone...

Still looking for Buckwheat honey, but I got some Merlot concentrate for a pyment.

Thanks, tommorrow I brew.

EDIT: and another review of the carrot soup at teh French Laundry:
