i forgot to put 1 lb of brown sugar in,can i add it to some boiled water and then to my fermenter,now i know why my og was low

When did you pitch the yeast? If you haven't yet then you can do this or it was just pitched. Otherwise I would skip it and call it a caribou session ale.

i pitched the yeast an hour ago,i have some boiled sugar cooling now

You will be fine go for it.....just try to pitch the brown sugar at a resonable temp.
