I had this given to me but I'm not sure what to do with it. I know it's s carbonation system used by a local connivence store. I have no idea what the scale of a system like this is. If I could use it to carbonate something other than water it could be useful. This picture is from eBay and the item is selling for 100$ BIN, so I don't plan to sell it hastily.

The description on ebay gives a lot of details about this item. It's a cool find... not sure how a person could use it in the homebrew venue though. Someone here is bound to have an idea

Interesting

That looks like a McCann's Big Mac carbonator. They run around $400 buck's new. Not really sure what you could use it for other than soda dispensing??

I know exactly what you should do with it, send it to me.... :D

But if you're set on keeping it I do know that the pump makes a great cold side transfer pump. There is a brewery near me that I brewed for a few time last year and the pump off one of those is what the use to transfer the beer from fermenter to keg. It's strong, self priming and does not beat up the beer.

GREAT! Thanks so much. I'm building an automated, complete, HERMS system and will incorporate it from my fermenter to my keg system. In the back of my head I thought of doing exactly that but I was afraid to ruin it.

Use just the pump not the tank. and use it for cold side only. It wont handle high heat.

Will it force carbonate without the tank?

I'm planning to buy hot liquid pumps
