I brewed a chocolate coffee stout, and bottled it three weeks ago. I had one bottle in my fridge for about a week and a half. When I tried that bottle, the flavor was there, but no carbonation. Could that be because of it sitting in the fridge. I am going to try another one that wasn't in the fridge but was curious if anyone else has any theory behind my problem.

I would guess that yes it was being in the fridge that caused the problem... to low of a temp for carbonation. Try the one that was not in the fridge if that one does not have carbonation then you have other problems.

You need to leave your bottles at 70* for 2-3 weeks for proper carbonation to develope. Then chill for 2-3 days and enjoy.

Remember that higher gravity beers just take longer to carb than lower gravity ones.
