Hey fellas

I haven't get around this yet with grains and malt. But is it possible to crush the Cara amber malt and steep it in an hour and then pour in malt extract? Would it be a good way to brew or is it completely wrong?

Basically you're talking about doing an extract recipe w/ some specialty grains added- the Carared.
Do you have a recipe? What's the target OG & hop schedule.
Yes , you can steep the grains & then add your extract & boil. You'll need to determine how much water you need to reach your final volume.

Just remember that you won't get any fermentable sugars from the CaraAmber, it'll give you flavor, color, and body, but no ABV. It's not a base malt, but in this case would be called a specialty or steeping grain.

A basic approximation of an extract + steeping grain method is like this:

Steep your grains (in a muslin sock) while you heat your water. Remove before reaching a boil.

Add part or all of your extract at the beginning of the boil.

Follow the pre-determined hop schedule once the boil begins.

Add the rest of your extract at or near the end of the boil.

Chill and pitch.

I got no recipe, just going with the flow!

What type of beer/ flavor profile are you looking to achieve? You need to determine a hop schedule to get the levels of bitterness, flavor, & aroma you want. Also, what ABV are you going for? That will determine how much extract you'll need. And don't forget the yeast. It can have an impact on your outcome as well.

I actually got no plan or anything, Last time I made a Hefeweizen and it turned out great! So I wanted to make something else. I wanted to make something with the cara amber but I don't know what beer it gives me. But do the malt extract got all the fermentable sugars needed?

It will depend on the amount of extract (LME /DME) you use.
Use one of the free online brew apps to calculate the amount needed based on your target OG & or ABV.
Again , the type of extract, light, medium, dark will affect your outcome and SRM.
