Capping Wicked Weed?

Has anyone used Wicked Weed sour bottles for their homebrew?
I'm not sure they can be capped with home cappers.

Nice bottles and nice size but according to their tour they are made-to-order specifically for the funky brews.

I haven't put the muscle to it yet but I don't want to ruin my capper.

I've done it before. My wing capper doesn't work on them because of that large lip under the mouth of the bottle so you need to use a bench capper. Once you find the right height it works like any other bottle. Why do you think it'll ruin your capper?

My capper is a cheapo.
Actually its a replacement for a capper that broke unexpectedly.

Which bench capper do you have?

I bought the standard red bench capper from Northern Brewer. Not the Super Agata which seems to have much better reviews for the same price. Should've done more research before buying it. It's not a great bench capper, but if I press down, rotate the bottle, and press down again it seals WW 500ml sour bottles just fine.

I have the cheapest capper I could find at the time and it worked fine on WW btls. I have a peche and kriek in them.

I am not familiar with those bottles, but you might be able to use you red wing capper. There are a lot of different bottles out there.

As you can see by the lip below the cap (middle bottle), a wing capper will not even fit on these bottles. I have heard they get all of their bottles from France or something because they got a special deal on custom bottles, they like to be unique. Their odd sized 11.2oz bottles are different as well, haven't seen anyone else use those.

Never seen one of these in person, so I'm just spitballing here, but would you be able to use a wing capper if you switch out the shoulders to the 29 mm side?

I've had a couple make their way into my bottles, I HAVE capped them with the red wing capper but I believe they didn't seal well enough. I get carbonation, but it's not as much as standard bottles. Even popping the cap you can hear a weak hiss. Once I find them they go straight to recycling.
