Fresh Fou = best Fou
A few of us tried Fou there a couple weeks ago and thought it was still green and not ready. That fresh isn't always best. This one definitely needed a little more time to develop. The date on the bottle was 18 August 2016. We were surprised they were available to try in house. Just something to consider.

Same thing can happen with West Ashley, I know people who save their bottles for ~3-6 months to let it really come together. That's hardly ever an issue for Americans with Fou since we rarely get it quickly, but I'm not surprised other apricot beers need a bit of extra time.

Also, the '15 batch is holding op phenomenally (I have no idea if I spelt that right, holy ****). Still very fruitforward

Agree 100%. Had fresh fou 1.5 weeks ago and 2016 definitely needs time. Had a bottle dated August 29th and early Sept, both were underwhelming. Flavors were too sharp. Did a 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 vert about 11 months ago. Preferences seemed to be for 2010 and 2013. At the time 2015 was my least favorite, but had a 2015 a couple weeks ago and it was fantastic. All personal preference, but I prefer Fou with some age.

Had a '15 at Moeder the day after having the '16 and it was night and day difference. '15 is drinking super nice right now.

I'll also throw something else out there, a little bit off topic so apologies, but Fou seems to be like DDG or similar bottles that appear to get traded quite a bit so I am now wary of where the bottles come from. I imagine the '15 from Moeder will not be the same as another 2015 that's been traded back and forth cross country a few times.

The couple times I've had it it's tasted like bell pepper lambic to me. I know I'm not the only one who's had that reaction, but I know plenty more people who love it. Probably one of the more polarizing loons.
Was gonna say, I dunno anyone who just sorta likes mamouche. Seems to be love or hate.

I didn't love it, which based on bottle limits at the brewery this week, is in my best interest
