Does anyone use 3 gallon kegs? I received 4 and use them with 10 gallon batches. They are a pain in the butt so far. I have tried everything with these kegs. From almost no pressure to close to 20 psi. It doesn't matter, I get a super foamy pour. At first I thought it may be the honey in the Kölsch batch but no, same exact thing with the next Vanilla Porter brew. I do not force carbonate either. I just don't understand what's going on. I have changed co2 tanks, hoses, connectors and tap. Any suggestions? Thanks much.

You have me curious. I bought some a little while back because I got an awesome deal, but I haven't done much with them yet. I have an experimental beer that I wanted to try on CO2 and nitro, so I was going to split it between two kegs. I'm still a couple weeks out but I'll report back with my experience.

How long are your dispensing lines and what ID? Are the kegs cold? Have you checked for any obstructions in the poppet valve on the keg?

I have two nicely functioning kegco 3 gallon ball lock kegs i recently acquired.

subscribing to this thread. I have one 3 gallon keg that i want to use one my cruiser when we are peddling around town.

I have a bunch of 2.5 gallon kegs and have no issues with them. So I have no idea what your problem is. If you are not having problems with your other kegs then it is even a bigger mystery.

I needed some grain so I went to my local brew shop here today. I asked about line length since a few of you brought it up in replies. You guys were dead on! My line was 3 feet and the guys said to double it. Thank you for suggesting this as an option. It's a new mini kegerator I made for these little kegs. There isn't a lot of room but I made it work and I finally pulled a great one. Thanks much.

Also, two kegs has bad post rings. I couldn't hear it nor was I losing co2 but upon rechecking with soapy water, bubbles! Thank you all again!
