Alright i know what your thinking.... that im asking the same question everyone else is asking.. "how do i get my kegerator/fermenter to the correct temperature" well im not really asking that question but more of a in depth question on top of that. So i bought a kegerator to brew/....keep beer ..cold question mark? Well this kegerators led readout works but the buttons dont! No im not asking how to fix the button,(even though that would be nice) But the problem is the fridge will go all the way down to 36.. perfect right? Well yes its perfect until the compressor shuts off and doesn't turn back on until about 15 or more minutes after and the liquid temp heads all the way to 44 degrees!!! Foam Foam Foam Foam..... that sucks, so my local brewmart said "hey grab a temp controller, all you have to do is plug the kegerator power into the temp control power and boom your good"... wrong!!!!!! yes it will turn the kegerator off when it gets to that temperature but it can try and turn it back on all day when it hits 1 or 2 degrees above 36.... BUT that does not mean my fridge will turn the compressor back on .. AHHH so frustrating... so problem is i need to somehow bypass my 2007 danby compressor controls to make it so the compressor will turn back on in under 5 minutes.. and sorry but no the the johnson a419 hooked up in the traditional plug in play way does not bypass the danbys controls.. any ideas anyone? i cant find any threads on this!!! thanks guys and cheers!

Take apart the controls in the top of the fridge, find the hot wire that goes into the controls, jump it, bypassing the thermostat (there's probably a wiring diagram on the back of the fridge), this will run the fridge with no controls at all, constantly. Now use your external therm controller with probe to monitor ferm temps and turn the fridge on and off as needed, the Johnson controller allows you to set a delta, so you can set a 2 degree delta and it will allow a 65* setting to go from 63-67 before turning on fridge again.

Also are you fermenting and serving beer out of the same fridge? Don't quite understand your first few lines of the post.

Well yes i will be fermenting in the kegerator to get the right temps, then when its done ill be kegging it and using it as a kegerator. Alright man i couldnt find that info anywhere, sounds like ill be doing that first thing tomorrow after duty! thanks for the info, any other recommendations on getting the crappy danby to go even lower in temp?
