Canned fruit from the grocery store?

So, my next batch will be a Chocolate Cherry Wheat and I am wondering what are some ingredients that you DON'T want in canned fruit when using it for home brewing? I know a lot are packed in fermentable sugars and I want to avoid them. Thanks

Canned fruit has lots of water and sugar plus it tastes "cooked". If you can't access fresh, frozen fruit works well. Another option is Oregon Fruit Puree.
