Its quite apparent here in the states that tighter gun restrictions usually mean higher gun related crimes. Chicago and Washing DC once banned firearms within the city limits, and they used to be the cities with the worst gun related crime in the country. Granted, most of these restrictions are with hand guns instead of rifles, but being a gun owner and supporter of gun ownership rights, this is a good thing. Plus, rifles and shotguns aren't easy to conceal like hand guns are...not having a registry for them will not be the end of the world. You will most likely see almost no impact from this ruling except maybe people buying a few more rifles.

It's a great day for Canada and freedom! This $2 billion dollar mess should never have even seen the light of day. Contrary to what the socialists keep saying, blood will not run in the streets and law abiding citizens won't suddenly turn into blood thirsty killers. I expect there will be no noticeable change in crime, and by the time the next election rolls around no one will even remember this.
