I downloaded a BIAB calculator to my iPhone, and I'm not sure it is correct. I have a 29qt. brew pot, but is that my "max kettle volume"? That doesn't leave any room for boiling, does it? Should I be putting my maximum volume lower? That just seems like a lot of strike water for 10lbs. of grain.

What size batch are you making? The grain will absorb some of the water, so you won't be starting your boil with the amount of water that you initially put in the kettle.
http://www.biabrewer.info/ has an awesome calculator called the BIABacus. it takes everything into account. Grain absorption, evaporation from boiling, cooling shrinkage, trub loss, whether you had your morning coffee....... Unfortunately it's an Excel spreadsheet, so it isn't as pretty.
