Can someone clear this up for me?

When conditioning in a keg at room temps. I understand hitting the keg with gas to seal the lid, but do you leave the gas on it or unhook it and store. Would just like to take gas off, condition a couple weeks and then chill and force carbonate. Sorry this was posted in the wrong section don't know if it can be moved.

I usually try to leave some pressure in the keg just to keep things out, but I don't leave the gas on a room-temp keg.

Just give it a little gas and off-gas it a couple of times to get rid of the air, and you will be able to condition like that for a long time.
