I have been given a recipe from a local brewery and need help with a couple things
Mash - target mash to hit 4.0 plato FG - How do i convert this to hydrometer reading.

And a target 14.5 plato OG for 5.7% abv. Same as above.

This is for a stout.

If a chart isn't handy multiply Plato number X 12. It's close. 4 Plato X 12 = 1048.

You mean 4, right? To convert roughly to plato/Brix, you multiply by 4 (not 12). A brix/plato reading of 4 is 1.016.
