Can i use this "carboy"?

Hi guys, someone gave me this kind of "carboy".. ( left one )
Can i use it for fermenting beer? Or to ferment anything else? I plan to make some hard lemonade. it should be 23L/6Gallon.

Of course it will work.

Either will work as long as you put a bung and air lock in it....

No, but with the basket it should be easier for you to not break it.
