can i use these containers for fermenting?

They look like they would be a pain to clean and I would be very concerned about scratches.
 
They're food grade, and some folks are no chill brewing in jerry cans. If you got em, use them. As to cleaning, oxyclean can get into all the little crevices and lift all your biomatter away. Just rinse thoroughly and try to visually inspect with a flashlight to make sure before you sanitize. A jet bottle washer will be good with that too.

Too bad you cant get them WITH agave in there. ;)
 
They use that plastic here to store apple juice (apple country..). IM a trucker so i can tell you theres a 99.999% chance they reuse the heck out of them..those things are expensive. Its unlikely theyre scratched on the inside because there are "no humans involved" .. everything is done with equipment designed to have zero chance of scratching them. Also because of the size of the openings ill bet theyre easier, not harder to sterilise.
 
Looks like a pretty cool fermenter to me. I have one of the blue 55 gallon barrels for my tools in the garage. The plastic is tough, thick, and very well constructed. I would say it be a suitable container once sterlized.
