Hi there,

I just got a new plate chiller, problem is I ordered 3/4 NPT -1/2 NPT connections, basically 3/4 for the water and 1/2 for the wort.

What I got was 3/4" on all 4 connections. Before I return the chiller and scratch this weekend's brew, can I just use a reduction coupler on the in and out wort connections, to take them down to 1/2"??

I know it might create cavitation inside the chiller, but shouldn't it not really matter since I would still need to aerate the wort.

Anybody done this before? All input welcomed.

Thanks.
Ed.
