I have a nitrogen regulator (from what i can tell on google) Matheson 8-580 dual gauge regulator. One gauge reads 0-100 psi, and the other reads 0-3000 psi.

Do you think I could use this with a kegging setup and avoid buying a regulator when I get my CO2 tank?

Attached is a pic of one of these things (Not mine, but the same kind).
Thanks in advance!

Well, another google search, and it seems I answered my own question. Looks like I just need to get a CGA 320- 580 adapter and I can use the regulator. Hopefully the fire extinguisher place I am getting the tank from has the adapter in stock.

Is that a beer regulator or a welding one?

From what I've heard, welding reg's do not have check valves.

I may be wrong but I think that regulator is already set for CO2. I think N2 tanks have a female connector versus a male for CO2. Check a site like keg works.com in their bottle section to see the difference on the bottle side. The regulator itself should be ok if you can mate it up to the bottle.

I have both types of reg at home and agree with Brent on this one.
