I was worried about mine too but it cleaned up nicely just soaking it and running some hot water through it cleaned it up...
 
mine is very discolored. I still use it as a blowoff all the time. All the junk that comes out of there has a tendency to stain the vinyl. I just make sure it's clean and sanitized and I don't worry about it.
