Thinking about transfuring the wort from the secondary formentor into the bottling bucket with the primer but i'am not ready to bottle right away you know i still need to clean bottles. could i let it sit in the bottling bucket for a couple day ?
 
the yeast will have likely eaten the priming sugar up by then and your beer iwll end up flat.

why not just leave it in the fermenter until your bottles are clean and ready to go???

assuming you've sterilized your bottling bucket well, I don't see how it would be any different from racking to a third fermentor. But, sanitation would be the key.

EDIT - Walker you're right, I didn't notice that he was already primed. . . .
 
It is safest in the fermenter/secondary. Why do you want to do it, I mean, is there a compelling reason? Your yeast will start munching the priming sugar before you get it in the bottle and so your carbonation levels could be funky. Also, you risk infection and oxydation in the bucket. I'd say avoid the move if you can.
 
Well really it the kinda stunt a newbie would try pull , I'm trying to cut a small corner you see i'm not suppose to move from the second formentor yet for another week and i wanted to bottle this weekend, i was thinking by priming it now so what if the yeast has its last minute meal i just dont want to run the risk of having to much carbination and have bottles exploding, you know what i mean ? I'm sure the overwhelming number of you will say to avoid this move but does my reasoning make any sence ? and maybe could i make it work being the transfurs not suppose to take place for another week anyway. do you really think 2 day in the primer bucket is enough time for the yeast to consume the primer, there really isnt much yeast in the bottom of the secondary now and there wont be much in the bucket after i make the last transfur either.

You won't run the risk of too much carbonation if you use the proper amount of priming sugar.. and YES, a couple of days is plenty of time for the yeast to chew up a large portion of the priming sugar.

As for the low amount of sediment.... Even crystal clear beer with no sediment under it has millions and millions of yeast alive and well in it.

Cutting a week off the time is probably OK, but there is no reason to go into the bottling bucket or prime it yet. Just get your bottles cleaned and rack/prime it when the bottles are ready.

You'll still get it into the bottles at the same time no matter what, but you'll actually get good carbonated beer if you prime on the day of bottling.
