Can I bottle in this?

Hey guys, I know it's not normally a good idea to bottle in a growler, but I got some of these 32 oz grolsch style growlers that a friend gave me. Has anyone tried bottling in these?

Never tried those, but I'd try a couple just to see how they did before doing several.

Yeah, those are fine. the glass is heavier than most growler type bottles, at least in my experience.

Again, follow proper carbonation guidelines to avoid bottle bombs.

thats not a growler. It's a 1L/32oz swingtop/EZ-cap bottle and its fine for bottling.

kk, liquor store was using them as growlers to sell stuff on tap so I wanted to make sure. Thanks guys.

I use swing tops for bottling. They work fine. Just don't use a growler.
