My grandfather and his sons used to bottle in these in the UK. So my Dad and two brothers, they used to do a 40 pint batch each october for christmas a barley wine type.
Grandfather died in 1978 I think, brothers divided the bottles 3 ways instead of 4 that year and we last opened a bottle about 10 years ago. Still had condition.
Can't lay my hands on the recipe at the moment but from the early days of homebrewing in UK so basic.
I think they have one bottle each left. I'd seek out some bottles from a pub or restaurant and invest in a crown capper or kegs. The only place I've ever seen those bottles is in the family homebrew collection. I will ask my Dad next time we speak if he remembers the name of them.
That said the rubber washer lasted better than the rubber washer on Grolsch bottles when I brewed the same recipe on my sons birth. We opened bottles when he was 16, 18 and 21. Due to open some more when we return to UK in a few weeks time.
Will try and find the recipe for a laugh to show how things have changed in homebrew world.
