Just getting back to brewing after a 2 year hiatus. Have some relearning to do. I have what would be considered pretty good water for brewing where I live. But it is treated with Chloramines. I read where a crushed Campden tablet will take care of the Chloramines in 5 gallons. But the Campden tablets I have say 1 per gallon.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanx.

The campden tablets do say one per gallon- but that is for winemaking and using it as sulfites to preserve the wine. In general, to remove chloramines/chlorine from your water, using one crushed campden tablet is enough for 20 gallons of water.

That's exactly what I read, thanx for the clarification.

If you have a murder and pistol, you can crush them and weigh them. Or crack them and guess at a half tab for +- 10 G.
