since i started brewing (8-9 years ago), i've always brewed on the stove in the kitchen. recently, swmbo started to complain about the smell of the boiling wort. she enjoys the homebrew, she just doesn't like the smell of the wort boiling. :(
that being said, i think it's now the time to buy an outdoor burner or turkey fryer to boil my worts outside instead of in the kitchen. any one have any suggestions on brands or sizes? :D

Lol is this swmbo smackdown day? Check out banjo turkey fryers on ebay i got my whole setup for 60$

I bought one SQ14 on amazon and liked it enough to buy another about 6 months later. Now I have one for HLT and one for my BK. They work great for whatever sized kettle you have. I have keggle and it was one of the few that I found that was wide enough for keggles. They are a great value and come with free shipping on amazon.

Holy crap, you lasted 8-9 years before getting kicked outside? I lasted 8-9 minutes. :D

Fortunately, I already had a propane burner for crayfish I could brew on. The additions continue to this day. :mug:

Don't think of it as "getting kicked outside" think of it as an excuse to buy better gear. If SWMBO complains, tell her she brought this on herself. You were perfectly content to stay on the stove.

Also, keeping a ton of bottles in the fridge and everywhere else waiting to be filled is a good way to a kegerator.

BTW just to the left of that rig is a full size fridge with two cornies and various bottles in it. She kicked me outside into the "briar patch".:rockin:
