I have a brinkman burner on my brew rig which I have used many times with no problems bringing 7 gallons of wort to a boil. Not really sure of the BTU. I installed a weldless valve with a hop strainer into my kettle and decided to test it out with boiling some water to dial it all in and what not. Only thing is, I can't get the water to boil. The only thing that has changed, or even moved for that matter since my last batch that went fine is the addition of the weldless fitting. I really don't understand why this is happening. Is water different from boiling wort? Could the fitting be affecting it? Please help, and thanks
