Hi folks,

I saw a video on CraigTube about adding grains to a beer kit to bump it up a little and give it a bit of a fresher taste.

I was wondering about doing a Coopers Irish Stout with 500g of chocolate malt (as well as 500g medium spraymalt, 300g dark brown sugar of some description as 200g black treacle).

I haven't steeped grains before and I was wondering a) how this would change the flavour and b) am I going to ruin what would be a very nice stout (saw the recipe, minus the grains, from What's Brewing UK on YouTube, who said it was great!)

Thoughts?
