Hi,

I'm just finishing up brewing my first kit beer, 11 more days until tasting day, and I can't wait to get a start on my second kit. So I'm already on the lookout for another.

I found an interesting looking company that goes by the name Bulldog Brews, and in particular, one Imperial Red kit called Bad Cat. Has anyone here had experience with this kit or other kits from this company? And If so would you recommend?

Thanks

Kits are great ways to get what should be a solid recipe without having to come up with one on your own. Sometimes kits will ship with dry yeast and that yeast could be old. I haven't seen this much these days, but a LHBS here had pre-boxed kits and they sat around for ages.

I'm not in the UK so I've never used the company. I would order if you're still new but take a look at the yeast date when you do get your kit to ensure it's not out of date.

Thanks!

I'm very very new to brewing and still getting a feel for the process. I'd love to eventually start all-grain brewing, but with more time and experience under my belt.

I skipped the kits (aside from that canned hopped stuff) and went right from those cans right to AG. Makes me kind of wish that I had of dabbled in the waters of extract and/or pre-built kits for a while to get my head screwed on straight from the start. I've got it mostly figured out now, but mostly through experiments instead of experience.

I have heard many a good thing about various kits but can't vouch for quality or lack thereof pertaining to any particular brand. Best thing to do would be grab one, cook it up and see how it turns out. As hello said starting with something that has already been fine tuned should be a great start.
