Does anyone have any plans or ideas on how to build your own carboy dryer?

Thanks

I use plastic cups (a little bigger than the ones that restaurants give out for kids drinks) with rectangular holes cut out near the base. Turn the carboy upside-down over the cup and you have a poor mans carboy dryer!

(I use these for my Better Bottles and NOT my glass carboys!)

I don't dry mine. If they are ever empty (which is rare) i fill them up with bleach water. Same with my mash cooler. I store all my hoses, air locks, etc. in bleach water soaking in my cooler all week. I had a mold problem once a few years ago in some of my tubing.

I never dry my carboys. I clean them with very hot water and Oxyclean for an overnight soak after each use. The following day I simply drain and rinse them well then seal the top with foil or plastic wrap. A Star San rinse before use and I'm off to the races. I've never understood why some feel it's necessary to dry the carboys.

Have you had any off flavors from this?

Try old Christmas tree stands... Saw someone post up about using them... Seem to work... Mine are usually in rotation, so I haven't had a chance to try it yet...

I use and upside down milk crate with hole cut in bottom, with a catch cup. After cleaning and rinsing carboy turn up side down, neck thur the hole and crate will support carboy. Also use the same for my pin lock kegs.
