Hi All,

I first wanted to mention that this is my first summer season of brewing. I usually do all of my brewing/fermenting in my basement. I just recently noticed that there are small white bugs all over my equipment. These are attracted to not only my brew equipment, but also my sanitizers like star san and diluted bleach spray.

I have never had this problem in the fall and winter seasons. I attached some pics of the little critters. Hopefully someone has the same problem.

Thanks,

Sam

+1^^^ Critters only crawl on things they smell food on, so you need to disassemble the gear they are on, and scrub the hell out of it. Once upon a time, I too had critter issues. I took all my gear apart, double scrubbed it, rinsed it, and then bleached everything.

I feel that I go to the extreme when cleaning. I always soak my stuff overnight with oxy clean free. Like I said before I never had this problem. Until summer months hit. But I will rewash everything and soak with bleach. Hopefully that will work

It's obviously a cleanliness issue somewhere. Those bugs aren't on there for no reason, they are after something. Might need to clean out the area where you store your stuff too.
