I brewed my first batch yesterday :ban:

I was a little nervous about everything getting off to a good start, but I woke up this morning to see my airlock bubbling away.

This means fermentation is off to a good start right?? :rockin:

It's not an accurate way to measure fermentation, but it does relate that initial fermentation is underway,as long as your lid has a good seal, ime. It's always nice to wake up to some home brew percolator. From what I've noticed, the airlock slows down or stops bubbling when initial fermentation is over. Then, the yeasties are slowing down for the long haul to FG. Just let your hydrometer give you the specifics.

Yup, means it is doing the right thing!

And yes, it isn't always the indicator, but it always has been for me. Yay for a fermenting away first batch! Hope it turns out well for you!

Keep the fermenter at an even temperature and enjoy the smell of a bubbling brew!
