Brutus Grounding Question

I'm in the process of putting the finishing touches on my Brutus 20 build. I built in a gas beam, just like Lonnie's designs (love the minimalist look). My question is what would the effects of attaching the metal frame to electrical ground be?
Everything works fine as it is (the maiden brew was last Friday); I'm just trying to build in as much safety as possible.

Any thoughts would be appreciated?

The stand should be grounded. I assume you have a control panel, just connect the ground to the stand.
