I would offer but I really have no idea when I am going to drive on up to the Bruery to collect the allocations...first open weekend I think is Dec 17th.
I could grab all your bottles for you and bring them down to SD for the MT League welcome party on Dec. 18th, so you wouldn't have to make the drive at all.

That is a significant amount of bottles to bring down. I wouldn't ask an internet forum stranger to do that for me....mostly because my stranger danger alert is going off.

Help!

Haha, I don't blame you on that one, but thought I'd be polite and offer since you were so kind. I know the internets are scary places these days. If you're in the MT League secret FB account you can also look me up there.

I love that the email had the subject of "A strong [barrel-aged] end to the year"

For a weak set of low limit allocations.

Exactly! I almost thought they were going to make me regret not joining as vindictive sounds pretty interesting. Then I read the email. Nope.

How is the ABV so low on Vindictive?

There's no indication that it's BT blended with another beer.. just refermented with grapes and things right? How's that produce a 5% abv drop?

Wineification II was 13.7% so it's not unprecedented. It depends on the grapes, how the grapes are fermented, and what the ratio of grape must to BT is.

What are they?

A strong [barrel-aged] end to the year.
Have we saved the best for last? You be the judge. We end the year strong - and 100% in barrels. Plus, in the spirit of the holiday season, we put a bow on the remainder of bottles included with your 2016 membership. You'll find individual details listed under each item below.

We hope you come by and taste your latest allocations at The Bruery Tasting Room today for the final Society Member Monday of 2016. We'll have more details on 2017 for members in the upcoming weeks!

Vindictive™
If some of the best wines are blends of several grape varieties, imagine what could be achieved when applied to beer. This Black Tuesday varietal is blended and fermented with must from 75% destemmed and 25% whole cluster Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes from Sans Liege. After nearly a year in oak, this release vanquishes the boundaries between wine and beer.

Barrel-Aged 8 Maids-a-Milking™
What happens when 8 maids lay down in bourbon barrels for about a year? This: a rare variation to the 8th beer in our 12 Days of Christmas series. The Belgian-style imperial milk stout emerges this holiday season with deeper, richer, darker, more velvety milk chocolate notes, along with amplified roastiness and ripples of caramel, coconut and vanilla character. Drink it alongside the standard 2015 release to revel in the udderances achieved in barrel-aging, and lay a few down for up to three years to be enjoyed upon the release of 12 Drummers Drumming.

Note: two bottles are included with your 2016 membership. You will see an order dated on or around 12/5/2016 for $0.00 in your order history noting that these bottles are ready for pickup or delivery.

Sour in the Rye® with Kumquats

We've all come to know and love our barrel-aged sour rye ale, Sour in the Rye. Now it's time to enjoy a bright variation of it that has kumquats added to the mix. Not only is "kumquat" one of the most fun fruit names to roll off the tongue, it also treats the entire palate to a unique display of fruity characteristics. The tart, sweet, citrus and tropical notes of both the kumquats and tangerine zest strike a balance with the honey, vanilla and woody character imparted from barrel-aging. At the same time, the unique bitterness of the citrus fruit locks step with the clove and pepper notes imparted from the rye. It’s a combination that’s hard to define (like a kumquat), but after you’ve had your first taste, you’ll be rewarded with tangy clarity.

Note: one bottle is included with your 2016 membership. You may recall that this beer is a replacement for Sour in the Rye with Pineapple and Coconut. You will see an order dated on or around 12/5/2016 for $0.00 in your order history noting that this bottle of Sour in the Rye with Kumquats are ready for pickup or delivery.

Chronology™: 18 - Wee Heavy

Our latest Chronology Series™ - a Scotchology, if you will - continues its evolution. We brewed a wee heavy - known for rich, malt-forward flavors - and set it to age in bourbon barrels. Every six months, we take a quarter of the barrels, blend them and bottle them. This third bottling in the four-part series represents the nuances imparted to the base beer after 18 months of barrel aging.

And for full disclosure I do not like scotch ales and split my RS. I also thought 8 maids a milking was a horrible beer and have zero interest in the BA version. So I guess we'll be fighting over who gets the Vindictive. And I'll buy the other 1 SITRK.

So I guess it's more disappointing given my tastes/situation, which I understand has nothing to do with anyone or anything but me. Just feels like it was a down year ending with a sputter.

Bruery Terreux Hoarders Cuvee™ 2016

An invitation to join our Hoarders Society is the ultimate nod in how far you’ve come in your craft beer journey. Each year as a member, you get access to some of the most elusive and exclusive beers (such as this) and one-of-a-kind experiences, like going toe-to-toe with your peers in blending sessions exclusive to Hoarders.

This Cuvee is as dynamic as the members it competed against to gain top bragging rights in the Hoarders Cuvee blending tournament and be produced by Bruery Terreux in 2016. Designed by Hoarders Society members Kyle Landig, Paul Moore, Cory Townsend and Andy Williams, this Cuvee begins with one of the cornerstones of Bruery Terreux - our oak-aged sour blonde ale. We then premier a new ingredient in a packaged product for the first time in our company’s history: honey. Together with coconut, these two catapult the rich, barrel character found in our bourbon barrel-aged wheatwine ale, which is the second beer in the blend. Hibiscus, rose hips and white pepper balance the oaky, sweet and sour profile, adding a degree of spice and herbal characteristics to the dynamic blend.

Note: two bottles are included with your 2016 membership. You will see an order dated on or around 12/5/2016 for $0.00 in your order history noting that these bottles are ready for pickup or delivery.

Seriously, was the thought process here "let's try to guess what dontdrinkbeer would do with this for a vedeo revew"?

For our last release of the year, we have a secret hoarders bottle:

We took our anniversary ale which has been slumbering in hot sauce barrels and blended if with a crisp Chardonnay from our friends at Fess Parker. After blending we added brett and 6 pounds of licorice per gallon then aged the beer on actual horse worn saddle leather.

We hope you enjoy this beer with family and friends over the holidays.

The best parodies are ones like this, where you can actually, legitimately see the brewery making the beer in question for real.
