Anyone out of state on the fence and want to split the membership for next year? Willing to proxy with no thank you beers needed obviously. Just ask that you pay for a styro shipper if I can't get them for free (about 70% of the time I can. My buddy works at a wine cellar place and people have wine shipped in all the time.)

Hit me up in DM if interested. Cheers!

Anyone going to the Black Tuesday release party? The ticket prices seem a little high, was it this much last year? unlimited BT pours don't seem like a good idea nor does a $60 uber.

It was not this expensive last year. I want to say it was $55 or $60 last year. But it wasn't unlimited. HS got 8 or 9 pours and RS got 7.

Inflation is a bitch!

Any of you Hoarders hear of, or belong to, a group called the "Brue Crue"? A select group of Hoarders-only that plan on doing special tastings at The Bruery with Patrick Rue?

Let me know if so, I have a few questions.

that can't be a real thing, are you ******* with me

I didnt say it BeerHatesRob did but I have been asking around and his story checks out. There's also a society within the "Brue Crue" apparently called the "Sugar-Mud Buds", that's three overweight guys who give eachother vanilla bean coffee stout enemas w/ a funnel and a french press while Patrick nods approvingly from a safe distance. If you see a guy with a thin brown stain running out of his cargo shorts and down his calf you may just be in the presence of true Rue-royalty.

Trying to find out what tier lays beyond that but the SMBs are playing their hand pretty close to their 54" chests.

that can't be a real thing, are you ******* with me

I didn't think it was either, but I had heard about it from a friend and I just had to know if it was real. He told me that their tshirt orders went up to XXXXL and the smallest was an XXL for a 6'6" guy. That was what made me believe that it could be true.

I still have questions if this is all true.

Upgraded from RS to HS this year and looking for a long term trustee. My job will take me out of the area beginning in Feb. and I will need my beer stored. Send me a PM and I can provide more specific details. Cheers!

This secret club definitely needs dontdrinkbeer Inner Anoos diagram.

Somewhat tangential, but while we're discussion what can't be a real thing:

me and my brother were talking last night about the 25 different BT versions/variants at the BT party. . .

We left that discussion hoping someday that dontdrinkbeer does a write up on this speculative iteration:

HOT DOG & LICORICE BLACK TUESDAY

Even more tangential, but a friend and I did a French press infusion of Alesmith's Imperial .394 with a hot dog, Big League Chew, and peanuts.

It was not good.

so they did a special barrel aged beer day release today on their website and offered a beer for the first time ever without previously announcing it and what it was? or am I behind on the times and not paying close enough attention?

derde golf is the brew in question

Yeah. Sucks... ever since the new website went up all the emails are going to my spam filter despite me telling Gmail not to do that. Oh well... guess it saved me some $$$. I only wanted the wandered and the wineification anyways. At least I can get more Les Ronces.

Wonder if anyone has cracked an Old Richland recently? I have one put away. Trying to decide if I want another...

don't come frontin' on Barrel Aged Dark Lord With Hot Mustard

edit: renewed hoarders but decided to drop to half a membership and split with my trustee, who quit RS to take half my membership.

I had an original Old Richland a couple months ago...really good for its age. Solid barelywine despite little to no hop profile. As for an OAKED Old Richland? Haven't had that since the release...I did however pick up 2 this morning with the sale.
