Found a recipe that id like to brew but its partial mash and calls for briess golden light lme, im an all grainer so was wondering if anybody knows whay base malt would be comperable. Thanks.

What is the base malt used in the partial mash? I'd probably just go with domestic 2-row but might change it up according to the style. Per the Briess website they include carapils in the golden extracts but I don't usually add that when converting partial mash to all grain if there is otherwise crystal in the recipe.

Its a cream ale but only has the lme as a base. Also went on the website and saw it was base malt and carapils so just tinkering with the percentage.

.6lb DME=1lb base malt.

You can just use 2-row. Most DME's have a little carapils in them so you can add some if you would like, depending on the recipe.
