Cannot wait to see the new BB!
I have been thinking about the ice packs we use to ship liquid yeasts with when ordered, and I thought that maybe we could find a better way. So after some searching I found a supplier and placed an order for more ice packs, and some of those foil bags that you see around the grocery stores to keep things cold. Now the foil bags are not grocery store sized, but they are big enough to hold yeast, ice pack, and hops (depending in qty ordered). I think this is the next step in providing customers with liquid yeast in the best possible condition.
As soon as they come in (tomorrow or Monday) all ice pack orders will include the foil bag. The hops are kept in a freezer so even the hops will help keep the liquid yeast cold. The price for the ice packs will remain the same so the only thing that increases in the value to you guys.

Ed, question about delayed shipping:
I am going to be on vacation next week, can I place an order and have you ship it say, next Friday (06/26)? I want to brew a couple of batches over the 4th.
Of course you can. By getting your order in before you need it shipped we will be able to ship it out when you need it shipped. Just shoot me an email, or PM and let me know which date you need it shipped.
Ed
PM sent.
Thx.

You just need to make the process of getting uncrushed grain easier... right now it's a two-step process (order and then e-mail), which I always forget.
Besides a checkbox on the order form, if you save people's profiles, or place browser cookies on their HD's, you could "remember" our preferences. Just'a thought...
Keep up the good work!
Hey Ed, another idea could be to have an item that sells for $0.00 called "Do not crush grain please"
Put it in the grain category. Though, profiles sound easier.
That looks pretty damn awesome!
So I take it you're originally from Gates?![]()
Thanks again for the great customer service Ed!!
Looks great, but I will miss the post order email banter. Here is what the alpha version of the new cart looks like.

I got you marked down for no crush. Thanks for the order.

One thing I never understood about the BB was the FG option?
I'm guessing with the new ability to save recipes you could append that info after fermentation.. so maybe its a placeholder for that functionality?
Ah, that makes sense!
Since I typically use the inventory of dry yeast on-hand, I probably never noticed that value changing when yeast is added to the recipe.
Cool stuff, now quit teasing! When does this go liveeeee?!!!
