Received an order with close to 60 lbs of 20+ different grains. Must have been a hassle to pack, but it was immaculate. BMW has earned my loyalty.

I am glad that everything was great. Those type of orders are time consumming but certainly not a hassle. We get a lot of those types of orders, where people just start clicking on grains they need to stockpile in smaller quantities. It seems like we have a lot of customers that take advantage of bulk/group buys for 2-row and load up on specialty grains using us, which is works out great for us and customers.

I forgot to add rice hulls to my order (the stuff at my LHBS can be, uh, iffy).

Emailed him right after I placed the order, and for some reason he tossed them in for free instead of charging me. :ban:

I do feel a little guilty that he's shipping all the way from Atlanta to New Mexico for $6.99. That's gotta hurt the sack :(

Just made my first order!

You have a great selection of dry yeasts! it seems the some of the LHBS around here (B3) are out of quite a bit of good dry yeast. So I decided to stock up. With the amount that I bought, the shipping was only an extra 20 cents per package!

Thanks

Paulbill

didn't read all 46 pages but will there be pics on the website so we can see what we are buying?

+100 to Brewmaster's Warehouse. Amazingly fast shipping compared to what I am used to...but I guess that is because we are on the same coast :) Hops and yeast prices are a bit high, but the rest is low enough to offset that. How can you beat $19 for an all grain brew like the Haus Pale Ale? You've won me over and I've spread the word to my homebrew club.

Thanks all for the support, and feedback. I wish the hop prices were lower too, and hopefully I will be able to lower them as costs come down on some of the hops. Otherwise they are competitive with everyone else, and hopefully the grain prices will more than make up the difference.

Heres some more good stuff about Ed @ BMW

Who has 85 different varities of base malt, speciality grains, and DME?
Who has many, many, varities of hops?
Who has more varities of yeast than Ive ever seen.
Who will find equipment that isnt even offered for sale, and make it available?
Who will stock new items for you, if its something you really want?

Not to mention the guy will come out & show you how to drink a beer, or 6.

His wife & dad are pretty cool too! (but that has nothing to do with his business)

I dropped a little over 500 bucks to him, everything is great. His hop prices arent the best compared to bulk buys, but are inline with other HB stores. I even got a few extra peanuts with my order!!!!

I certainly don't intend to slander your business at all. It's great in many ways. I needed 5 ounces of Northern Brewer hops for a brew session this past weekend. If I'm being honest, If I had planned a few days earlier, I would have bought a pound of NB hops from hopsdirect instead and would have got a pound for the price I paid for 5oz. I agree that the per ounce price is inline with a few other vendors. No argument there. I'll shop with BW again.

I received my first order from Brewmasters on Saturday. I had placed my order on Wednesday. Three days from GA to NM is pretty darn fast. The packaging was top notch and their kit pricing is really competitive. One thing to consider when comparing kit prices - Brewmasters includes the yeast in their kits.

I'll definitely be ordering from them again. Thanks Brewmasters!

I totally understand your position and did not take your comments as slander in any way. I would not blame you or anyone else for buying your hops in bulk from someone else that has them cheaper.

Hops have probably been the toughest area to compete in for a new business like me. Most of the big boys foward contract at much lower rates than what I have to pay. I do my best to try to stay inline with other places on a per ounce cost. Next year I will be able to forward contract and hopefully be able to have hop prices that are as low as our grain prices.

I was shocked to see NM was a 3 day ship from GA. I am glad that FedEx was not pulling my leg when it showed the 3 days.

Thanks for the support.

You know what really sucks, the fact i live 30 minutes away from your warehouse address and I have to drive over an hour if I wanna go to a brewshop. I hope one day you can open your doors to walk ins or ship to me.

I know it sucks and I feel for all of the locals, and non local Georgians. I heard some goods news on that subject yesterday, so there is some light at the end of the tunnel. If all goes well we could be open by the end of JUne, or sometime in July.

Hey Ed, I might be down that way in a few weeks, can I do an order for in store pickup and save on shipping? It'll only save me 6.99, but I only need a few pounds of grain and it'll save you some, since shipping probably costs you more than 6.99.

Not sure if this no GA thing affects in store pickup....

Just received my order, and I'm very happy. Packed quite well!

I also had no idea that if you make a brew using the recipe builder, all the grains come in one huge bag. Pretty neat, and definitely reduces waste/mess!

I am glad that you are happy. We always combine grains on the Brew Builder, to make things easier for you. It does reduce the hassle/mess on both our ends.

Flaked Rice is now online.

Just a thumbs up to your operation from here in NJ. Great website, great selection, and great service- my package shipped promptly and will be here in plenty of time for a weekend brew day. Also, thanks for carrying such a variety of organic grains; I'm not a stickler for them, but I like to support organic agriculture when I can. I think you've just won a new repeat customer.

I tried to search for Lactose and it comes up with no results found but I can navigate to it.

Order placed :)

Huh, yea I searched for both lactose and malto-dextrin and it didn't find anything. Just picked that stuff up from my LHBS. Good to know that he at least carried the lactose.

Do you have an option for cool packs to keep the yeast chilled during transport? It would be a nice add-on to have. I"m a little worried that my yeast got fried (box was sitting out in 90+F weather when I received it), and the smack pack did not activate.

I'd hate for something so small to give me worries about ordering.
