Just out of curiosity, has anyone tried brewing with probiotics (i.e. culturing yogurt and using the lactobacillus and bifidus)? I was thinking about trying to make saison this way.
 
I tried it with drinking yoghurt.
The starters all tasted great,but the beer had a funny taste

I keep thinking of throwing my SCOBY into some low gravity wort, but never thought of yogurt. Bears further reading.
