hello there,

I have done only extract beer so far but I am looking forward to do my first al grain. That being said I am having a hard time to block 5 hours with 2 kids running around and was wondering if it was possible to do the mash in the evening and the boil in the morning, I am generally up early (and can wake up a tad early on purpose) and would be able to do the whole boil cool pitch before everybody is done with breakfast.

any feedback ? obviously the wort would be covered overnight.

cheers

I did it with a partial (mini) mash and it worked very well.
I've never done it with an all grain but I have been curious.

I do it all the time as I also have two little ones. I complete the mash, sparge and clean the tun at night. Then fire up the burner boil cool pitch and clean in the morning

Probably the best cream ale i ever did was done in a similar way. Had the mash going overnight, then sparged and boiled the next morning.
