Howdy folks! I've been lurking here for some time and figured I may as well speak up. My wife and I have been beer lovers quite a while, and for Christmas she got me, a starter kit with a good beginners wheat beer. That turned out well, and our second batch of amber ale is also tasty.
About a month ago a started a batch of Edworts Apfelwein, and this weekend I did one of Austin Home Brewers hefeweisen mini mashes. I really enjoyed working with the grain. It also helped that I moved my boiling operation outside, closer to the beer fridge. I converted a cooler to a mash tun a little while ago (because I like projects), and I'm thinking I might be about ready to try it out.
Anyways, thanks for the resource you have here. It has been a great help.
