Hello!

My name is Drew and I live in Harford County, MD. I wouldn't say I'm *new* to homebrewing, although I've only brewed two beers. My friends have been brewing for years and years. What took me so long? No clue...

I'm glad to be a membeer and look forward to sharing and learning!

Welcome from Joppa!!! Keep an eye on the gatherings forum, as we meet semi-quarterly at my place in Joppa. We're brewing here again in about 3 weeks if you're interested in stopping by!

haha.. welcome fellow membeer :)

So were your first two brews from a store kit, or did you go AG from get go?

I went to one of the meetings for Libation association, and I can say that I wasn't all too impressed.

Check out wootown (also a link on KVP's website). Mostly they meet out of the homebrew shop in Baldwin, but occasionaly in other random places around the Balto County area.

Craigster: my first two brews were partials. I'm hoping to build an MLT this week and hit an AG this coming weekend! Excited!
FireBrewer: I'm in Abingdon :)
KVP: I've already checked the Libation site :)
Jezter6: I thought the same thing you report, but I will prolly check out a meeting and see what it's all about.

Rather, we'll teach you what NOT to do in AG brewing.

Getting drunk before the mash is done.
Mismeasuring everything.
Looking at hydrometers like they're some sort of alien mind probe.

We do make some kick ass beer though.

Always good to see another Marylander, especially from Harford County, on board!

I'm in Bel Air, used to live in Abingdon. Welcome!

Hey Jezter. I've watched you organize a couple of these things, but my time is very limited (3 active kids and wife). I'm gathering my AG equipment now, building an MLT, bought propane burner and 10 gallon pot, and would like to come to one to learn how to do (or not do, as the case may be) things.

Is it too late to get in on the 14th? Only problem is my 20th anniversary is the 11th, and SWMBO may want to be doing something that weekend! :ban::ban::ban:

You're more than welcome to get in. Check the gathering thread.

You don't necessarily have to brew if you just want to come and hang out and drink a few beers.

You could be home and drunk by 5pm :)

Didn't you watch us dismantle the Broncos yesterday? My Ravens are back, and firing on all cylinders! The Bungles don't stand a chance next week!

Damnit, this is at MY house and I declare it a RAVENS FREE ZONE.

Anyone who wears purple must drink a WHOLE BOTTLE of Lithuanian mead.

that is all.

How have I missed this.

I'm in Abingdon :)

My father in law lives in Abingdon, right off long bar harbor rd.

w00t! go dig dug!!!!

Dig dug is up for the challange. Dig dug will now refer to dig dug in the third person from now on.

Right on. Not too far away then.
Don't have any Lithuanian mead, but I do have a bottle of Virytos. :D

GO RAVENS!!

It kicks hard, but it's tasty stuff. :D

Why don't you fools ever come to brew day?
