Hey guys!

I've been a long time lurker/user of this forum, but this is actually my first time posting. I just wanted to thank you all for the help you've inadvertently given me over the years.

I am looking at purchasing the Medium BIAC system. So far I've only seen one negative thread about it and that...seemed like you could make the argument for/against. To me, this system satisfies a lot of my needs in terms of space, ease of use, fewer parts to worry about being contaminated etc. as far as I can tell, it fits my needs. What I'm wanting to know is what problems, if any, you guys see with it. Is the main deterrent for most of you just the price or it being a new concept or is there something else that I could be overlooking? On of the Brewers I spoke with mentioned sparge time/temp control being a factor. What issues do you guys see? For those that have used it, what if any issues have you found? If you would prefer to pm me so as to not...feel like you're bashing them or something that's fine.

I'm not necessarily asking "should I buy this or something else", but if you feel inclined I'll take any advice into consideration.

Thanks guys!

🍻

I own the medium BIAC and I love it. The only issues that I had came from me learning a new a new system. However, it's a quick learning curve. The best thing about this product is customer service. Nathan is very responsive and patient, no dumb questions. He truly believes in his products and strives to make sure his customers are happy. I think it's worth the money.

I have a medium BIAC and have no regrets. Love it and would purchase again. Made me a more consistent and better brewer. Customer service is outstanding; none better in my experience.

My system came with the Auberin temperature controller and I've had no issues with temp control. Price wise, it's reasonable. I wanted to step up from the gas three vessel system I had and the choice was between an electric three vessel like Kal's or the medium BIAC. At the time the medium BIAC was less expensive and simpler to use.

Overall, I brew better beer in less time than the three vessel system I had.
