Hi everyone,

20 days ago I used Brewferm Christmas kit to brew. Original gravity was 1062. I checked density at 15th day and hydrometer showed 1022 and I decided to wait. But at 20th day (yesterday) I checked the density and it's same as 5 days ago, 1022 again.

On brewferm's instruction paper, it says bottle with 7gram suger per 1 liter when your beer reached FG1010.

As you see my denstiy is higher then brewferm says.

What should I do now? Bottle with suger or without sugar?
On some threads a few years ago some people mentioned that bottling at 1020 with-out sugar. But I think brewferm has beed changed the instructions which comes with kits.

15 days+ seems long enough to have completed fermentation, IMO. You might just have a higher gravity beer on your hands. I don't know if I would ever feel comfortable bottling without sugar as I would be terrified of flat beer. I'm pretty much a beginner also so you might want to wait until someone with more experience than I to come along. ;)

You're at 65% attenuation, and after 3 weeks and two widely spaced gravity checks, I'd call it done. Bottle and prime with sugar. Since it's a kit, do they tell you the expected original gravity? Did you hit it or come close?

You never bottle without sugar unless the beer has more fermenting to do, AND you are an expert at calculating and predicting attenuation (not the case here!).

Hi, kit instructons says i should see original gravity at 1065, i saw 1062 at the beginning.
