About to keg my first beer tonight but would like to bottle a couple of 22oz bombers to ship to my brother. My LHBS recommend BB because the tabs are DME and not corn sugar. Never used these before. The package states 3 (low), 4 (med), and 5 (high) to carbonate a 12 oz bottle.

Any luck using these? Thoughts on a 22oz or 750ml bottle with # of tabs?

As always, thanks for the advice in advance.

Chris

Generally it's two tabs for a 24oz, one for a 12oz. I'm thinking it would be two, but may risk slight over carbonating?

For the Brewer's Best tabs, you would need more than that. They recommend 3-5 for a 12oz bottle, so for 22oz you would probably want 5 for low carb, 7 for medium carbonation, and 9 for high carbonation. For 750ml (roughly 25 oz) you can probably just double the 12oz recommendations - 6 for low, 8 for med, 10 for high carbonation.

Thanks! I came to the same conclusion and used 8 tabs for 750ml bottles. It's an English Brown Ale and should probably have low carbonation but I like my bubbles:)
